There’s no bulky equipment to bolt to a plywood board. Put CudaTel in the rack next to your Active Directory, Exchange, Windows and Linux servers. You know that VOIP is just another application on your network— it’s time to manage it that way.
CudaTel uses the SIP standard protocol, supported by phones and carriers around the world. Use any SIP-compatible phone, application, or smartphone app: Polycom, SIPDroid, Acrobits— you pick! Then, get connected using any SIP-compliant VOIP service at a fraction of the cost of traditional phone service.
Some models of the CudaTel Communication Server come pre-configured and optimized with best-of-breed telephony company integration (TDM) hardware, with onboard echo cancellation and support for four analog incoming lines, up to quad T1s.
CudaTel Communication Server supports SIP for both provider services (telephone company) as well as end user devices (phones, software clients). Any SIP-compliant service or device can be used with CudaTel.
Using supported phones, the CudaTel Communication Server provides unmatched voice quality. High-Definition (near CD quality) audio is delivered through the G.722, G.722.1, and G.722.1c codecs.
Time to drop the console cable! You don’t need a laptop with a serial port to setup and use CudaTel by Barracuda Networks. We’ve gotten rid of the caveman interface and implemented an easy-to-understand Web-based graphical interface. Forget about the two-week training boondoggle— you don’t need it.
Tired of managing separate user databases because your legacy system doesn’t integrate with your IT environment? That’s silly, and we’ve fixed it. With CudaTel’s LDAP integration, users are automatically added and removed when you add or remove them from your directory service. Disabled an account? It’s disabled in your phone system. Want to call someone in a directory group? Just dial the automatically assigned extension and call them all at the same time.
Administrators can choose to manage users, groups and phones using the CudaTel itself. Management is 100% web based, and does not require any software installation. Initial configuration can also be expedited by leveraging CudaTel with an existing Active Directory or other LDAP directory.
Administrators can set policy to record calls associated with a user, group, location, or system, specifying inbound, outbound, or all calls made or recieved. Onboard storage is used and additional storage can be integrated using an NFS or SMB share.
Incoming and outgoing calls can be routed based on administrator preference. Operations such as dialing prefixes, least cost routing, and off-system PBX integration can be seamlessly integrated to minimize user confusion.
Voice security is a growing concern, but the CudaTel Communication Server has integrated technology to encrypt your voice calls. Using built-in Secure RTP and TLS support with supported phones, voice calls can be encrypted and secured— assuring you that hackers are not monitoring calls on the network.
Monitoring system calls, usage, and performance is easy with the Web interface’s performance dashboard. Administrators can view time-based graphs and call data to gauge carrier, line, and system usage.
Incoming calls can be automatically handled and processed using the built-in Automated Attendant. Using an intuitive Web-based interface, administrators can configure the flexible engine to ring specific extensions, groups of users, direct to system functions or off-site phone numbers, based on time of day and user presence and schedule.
Calls can follow a path or route based on time of day, day of week, or arbitrary schedule.
Be sure your road warriors and business travelers can always be reached, while giving the caller the impression of a fully integrated business phone. Phones can be configured to ring other extensions in a list or simultaneously, or fall back to a unified voice mail system. Rules can be made based on time, date, or caller identity.
CudaTel includes a built in T.38-compatiable fax server. Users can receive faxes without a fax machine, which are automatically converted to PDF and emailed. Users can also use the CudaTel Web interface to view faxes to them, or fax (PDF files) out.
Stop dialing in and typing that PIN to check your messages! CudaTel can be configured to automatically email users with an attached MP3 or WAV file of every voicemail as it is left, for easy access and forwarding by computer or smartphone.
Use your smartphone to connect to the CudaTel over your cellular providers 3G and 4G networks. CudaTel supports SIP clients such as Acrobits and SIPdroid to connect your mobile phone to your office extension, just as your were local — place and receive calls, obscure your mobile phone number, and 4 digit dial to any internal extension.
There are no per user charges for any CudaTel system. Each CudaTel is rated by our testing labs for optimal performance, and the device is only limited to the raw amount of hardware resources available to the appliance — no artificial limits intended to price-gouge each time a user is added.
CudaTels from multiple sites or locations can be linked for an integrated, multi-site, seamless single phone system across the private network or Internet. Inter-office calls are routed over the network free of telephony company tariffs and charges.
Calls from multiple offices are routed out the path or office which connections facilitate the lowest possible call charge.
